Louws Executive Business Direction Consultation

Purpose:

The purpose of this consultation is to direct, moderate and coach the Executive Management Team of an organization in the development of their company’s business direction. This from a 40,000’ view, establishing a holistic view and direction of corporate comportment, management and growth.

» Louws uses three distinct phases to accomplish this:

  2. Business Guideline Development
  3. Group Moderation

Essentially, the outcome you would obtain is an Executive Team who both agrees to and knows their corporate direction and assumes responsibility for the elements this comprises.

» 1) Discovery

Here we explore the current state of the business in terms of:

  • Business Model & Philosophy
  • Business Practices, Mandates and Policies
  • Visionary Goal (5:3:1 – years)
  • Mission
  • Core Values
  • Business growth Challenges & Opportunities
  • Revenue Source(s)
  • Brand and Product Positionings and USPs
  • Product/Service Offerings & Efficacy
  • Core and secondary constituencies (External and Internal)

These steps are accomplished in a combination of both primary (with key company executives) and secondary research such as Nexus/Lexus, etc.

» 2) Business Guideline Development

  1. Information garnered from step 1 above, is analyzed and compiled into a specific business guideline playbook.
  2. This business guideline playbook is shared with the “Core Executive Team” – with the purpose of achieving enlightenment and agreement of:
    A. Outcomes for a senior group moderation session
    B. Manner in which group moderation session will be conducted (format)
    C. Ground rules for group moderation session (do’s, don’ts, guidelines, policies, action steps to be assigned, roles, responsibilities, time lines and expected outcomes)

» 3) Group Moderation

Purpose: Get the core executive team and their key management reports to:

  1. Clearly define the critical path for their collective business success & growth
  2. Establish collective agreement of this path
  3. Identify and agree to the philosophy and methods by which they will negotiate the path and achieve the goals of the organization

Since the playbook will have already been formulaically developed (in at least draft form) it will be used to guide discussion and lead the group with consideration to populating this playbook with additional innovative thinking and directives as needed.
